I've watched the Wakakozake short anime but had no idea that there was a live action version. Not only that, the episodes are full length. It's an interesting show about food and drink pairings. I don't drink often, but there is definitely something about fried horse mackerel and a good beer. http://www.crunchyroll.com/wakakozake-drama/episode-1-classic-beer-food-deep-fried-mackerel-693001?t=0
Apples keep the doctor away! But I love cinnamon and apples.
ReplyDeleteand definitely gluten free.
ReplyDeleteI add brown sugar to mine, but I'm burdened with a really really sweet tooth.
I might have used brown sugar instead of white if my stock hadn't hardened. These apples had neither the taste nor the texture for eating plain, but they turned out to be enjoyable this way.
ReplyDeleteWell I cook alot with apples like cake and muffles. But what you show is alot butter.
ReplyDeleteOh, I didnt know you used sugar at all; I assumed it was literally cinnamon and apples.
ReplyDeleteI didn't use a recipe but if you look up cinnamon apple recipes, the sugar appears to be implied like it is with cinnamon toast. At least, that seems to be the case in the U.S. A version without added sugar would probably enjoyable as well, although I would have done it a little differently by layering them and cooking it down more.
ReplyDeleteGreat job l know my kids would love this. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAkira Yamanita I have, until now, not heard of cinammon toast.
ReplyDeleteIn fairness, I don't think I've heard of cinammon apples either. I just saw your pic, said "yum, but needs sugar". I should possibly have asked if they were sugarred instead of making assumptions.
You would like cinnamon toast.
ReplyDeleteDonna Runnion I'm a coeliac, most gluten free bread doesn't toast. One or two of the ones we've found fries well. The panninis panninify, but they don't really toast.
ReplyDeleteMost of them just burn though.
